TT DJ Crown Needed...

I just recently discovered some issues with the Crown on my V serial TT DJ..116233. Brought it into my watchmaker who advised me, the crown is broken, metal fatigue, etc...and needs replacement. He tried to work it, but to no avail..
So now, I am in search for an Original Rolex Crown..
Anyone know where I can obtain one from any of our members..?? - or should I bight the bullet and send it off to Rolex SC Toronto, for them to do it..?? I have some trepidations as to How Rolex authenticates your watch and how it was obtained, in regards to them servicing it.
I did some searching but couldn't quite find what Im looking for...
Any assisatance is greatly appreciated..!!

Update on Crown..

..Just wanted to share,.. that I finally was able to obtain a new crown.
After a fair bit of research and with the help of Bob Ridley on another thread (https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...lacement)..who clarified the difference between the 24-600-8 and a B24-600-8-G1...and From "Crown School 101 : A regular yellow gold 6.0mm crown is p/n 24-600-8. " ..So, I found my new crown, thanks to a new member to TRF, 'yoyococo75' from Paris, who was referred to me by TRF member..'oysertime'. Thank you Ray...and thank you Johann. It arrived the other day, so I haven't been able to get downtown to my watchmaker, Norbert, The German Watchmaker in Yaletown for the repair .
'Mechanically, it should to the trick.. The only noticeable difference I can see is the size/shape difference of the raised 'Crown', the size of the Oval and the base of the crown..tho the 'bars' seem to be the same... and Bar.
On the new crown, the 'crown' overall looks 'chubbier' / a little fatter than the original. The 5 balls seem larger on a heavier stem and the oval seems smaller. The pics aren't great but you can see a difference there and under a lupe..
Wondering if that's an abnormality...hence the 'B'24-600-8..vs a straight 24-600-8... Or am I being to....'picky..l'..?!?! Is Every 24-600-8 manufactured Exactly the same..?!? ..
..The new one is pictured through the package.. The original one is still on the watch... for help...!!
Anyway.. Hope to get my Datejust back in running order soon. I miss it..!!
Regards

New information.....

..Well, just to keep you all informed, for those that might be interested to know, that the B24-600-8 crown.. IS, different than the 24-600-8 crown I've been searching for.
It appears that the B24- is perhaps suitable to the earlier 16233 Datejust vs the newer 116233, a more slimmer version, both in stem and crown itself.!!
.
After visiting my watchmaker, The German Watchmaker in Gastown, who measured the differences, it is obvious that the B24 is not compatible to the 24-6008 crown for the current model(s).
Here's his drawing of the differences....
.
The Original 24-600-8 on the left shows the stem @ 1.65-70 mm wide, slimmer, crown head etal, VS the B24, on the right @ 2.10mm wide, which is 'fatter' /rounder on the crown, as pictured previously...
.. So, the B24- .. doesn't work.!
.
So the search goes on..for the correct Crown for the 116233...!!
Just thought I'd share...!

More Information...

...Oh, the saga continues...
After more searching and an inquiry to an eBay seller about a 24-600-8 crown he has.. he advised me that that 24-600-8 is for the older 16233 etc..and said I need the 24-604-3 crown. Now I'm really confused, because I understand the #3 denotes 3 = stainless and yellow gold (tutone)...whereas we know that the V series 116233 (Aug2008) is 18K.
Yikes....
This is getting frustrating... - and a learning experience...!!
HELP>.........!

It's ALIVE.....!!!

Hello all, that may have followed this saga....!!
I have finally obtained the correct crown for my V Serial (Aug2008) 116233 DateJust...the newer version, vs the older 16233... where the 24-600-8 crown is the part needed. In this case, with the 116233, the correct crown, (thanks to Venessa and Bob..).. is the (B)24-604-3 G1. Yes, I realize that the last digit '3' should represent the material code...however, this B24-604-3-G1 is a perfect fit for the 116233, in 18K YG. Just returned from my watchmaker who installed it in short time while we were chatting...! - Awesome job..!
And, no service required at this point in time.. (this is not my daily watch..).
So..all is Great...and she's back on my wrist and running as it should...
I couldnt be happier....
Thanks to Avo, for the part and Norbert, The German Watchmaker, for making this happen...............
Phew.......
