Speedy on black or brown strap?

I prefer the black strap with the black face of the Speedy. However, you sure see a lot of brown straps and some that come with the watch.

Does brown really go with black? Where are the fashion police?

Which do you prefer?

I prefer black. I just ordered a black strap. However, the brown ones are great looking too. I mostly wear black shoes and belts so it just happens to match better.

Both. The Speedy is one of those watches that seems to be a perfect canvass for whatever strap you want to put on it. Check for threads about Speedy straps and maybe the real choice is not "either or" but "and and".

I think it looks best on a brown distressed leather strap.

Have mine on a HODINKEE aged green moss strap and looks as handsome as ever!

Black for me - pictures just look fantastic!

I'm leaning towards a Speedmaster for my next watch since the new Daytona is impossible to get.
