Hey man, I'd lose a few bucks to make a deal with him, he deserves it..

First on the list at my AD, placed the order about 10 minutes after I saw the blue dial posted on here from Basel, so I guess that was March 22? Looks like a late summer/early fall arrival, but should get confirmation when he returns from Geneva next week.

Same here. My AD has an event in May where all the new stuff will be in store to try. I'm in no hurry.

I went and tried on the PM models; they tell a some. If the PM fits than the SS will. On the other hand, a brief encounter in unsized form is hardly a good representation of how a watch will fair on my wrist. Looking forward to hear your final decision.

Hi All hope your well,

As far as i know in the UK supply will be quite low to AD's with many dealers getting very low numbers for the year. I think it's wonderful to finally get such a wonderful piece in steel.

Put my deposit down 20% small dealer in London honestly the best service I've got in years especially from Rolex turlly 5 Star.

After collecting a down payment; they'd better not have two lists. Paying is a contract as far as I can tell. In my case the down payment is non-refundable if I decide I don't want it.

The GMTIIc is my favourite Rolex, but I cannot stand the shade of blue on the BLNR.

So 114060. Simple and classic brough up to date.

The more i look at it the more I like it. Black dial looks great IMO.

Not rush to get one though. Hope to have some discount by the time I pull the trigger.

Advance congratulations! As a current owner of one, I am excited many more will get to wear and enjoy it! It's a great Rolex model. If I did not have one, the blue dial would be my choice.

Does the contract include language guaranteeing you their first incoming piece? If not, it comes down to relationship and pecking order at that AD. I suspect that large dealers often have repeat customers who've spent hundreds of thousands (or millions) with them who merely need to make a call to become 'first' on the (other) list.

Not saying it applies to your case, but I'm sure it does happen.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for the Daytona C call. Supposedly, according to my AD it's soon. If the Daytona doesn't come in by June or July and the SkyD becomes available, I'll pull the trigger.

All the blue love here caused me to spend some more time with the models.... both are beauties; so called my AD to be added to the blue list also, but he said that, after I expressed interest in blue a few days after being added for black, he threw me on there just in case. Gotta love that!!

Number one black and number 3 blue (supposedly...) fingers crossed that they get at least three blues in the first shipment! Would I wait for blue if black is ready but less than three blues came in? I don't think I have that willpower!

And I agree with others, I am sure the absolute biggest hitters can move right on up. But would the biggest hitters go for a SS SD? Doubt it, and hope my relationship and, potentially more relevantly, the candor about my position on the blue list bodes well for the accuracy of my position!

Just curious: is there anyone that owns one in precious metals considering getting the SS and flipping the original? And for folks that have the precious metals, does anyone not think negatively about the SS release?

My AD is just back from Basel where they placed orders and were told their Sky-Dweller delivery is likely to be in November 2017 at the earliest.
