Trade BNIB GMT 116710LN for New "Grey" BLNR?

I recently purchased the black GMT II, new from an AD. I got it at a good price since I bought it together with a TT Sub LN.
I actually would have wanted to buy the BLNR but, as you can imagine, was not available at the AD.

The BLNR keeps on staying in my head and I'm thinking should I sell/trade the black GMT and buy a BNIB BLNR from a grey dealer? Although a bit above list price these guys seem to have them available a lot better than the AD's.
On the contrary I'm considering the black one is the classic Rolex GMT, and since it's one of my first rolexes that I did buy brand new from an AD, maybe I should start wearing it and forget about the BLNR...

Until today the GMT is unworn in stickers in the safe..

Would appreciate your opinions/considerations what should I do??!?

Seems like an obvious answer. If you haven't worn the GMT and are still dreaming of the other one then you need to go for it.

Thanks so far.. apart from liking one over the other, you guys wouldn't have a problem selling an ex-AD watch whilst buying back a "new" watch from the grey market?

If you are not wearing it, then trade it towards the BLNR.

Go for the BLNR. The itch won't go away until you scratch it.

Rolex is a thing of want, not a thing of need. If you want it, get it.

I haven't been wearing it yet, with this in mind.. however am somewhat reluctant because I'm trading an ex-AD (with my name on it) watch with a watch from the grey market (that will be in the best case 3 months old NOS).. you guys wouldn't have a problem with that?

Which GMT do you think you'd wear more? That's the one to get / keep.

I was in the same position. I dropped the LN and picked up the BLNR and never regretted it.

You should do what you want to do. Personally I wouldn't as am not mad on the blnr and prefer my LN. But if it does it for you and you aren't wearing the LN then why not as long as the deal is good and you can afford to.

What's it doing in the safe? Many ADs can get the BLNR in 4 to 6 weeks, so if you don't mind waiting, just hold out and get it at list if you don't want to go grey. Good luck.

And the gmt-master ii print in white, blue GMT hand! The bezel really makes all the difference. It is really stunning and the blue can go from bright in sunlight all the way down to purple/black in low light. It's really well done. The transition between black and blue is imperceptible.

Without hesitation I would keep your black GMT it's a classic watch you can wear it with any outfit from a black tie event to the beach.

The so-called Batman watch is just that in my opinion a toy of a watch the look is pure toyish to me it's simply the flavor of the month and like the cliché goes soon-to-be a different flavor and then what you're going to switch to Tutti Frutti
