Advice on a potential purchase ... 5513

Hey all,

Looking for a little guidance on a 5513 that I've had my eye on. Picture has been added below.

Note, the plots have been "washed". Personally, I think it gives the watch a very clean look but if the consensus is to "run and hide", I'll listen. Oh right, and it's missing the "pearl".

Would this be a consideration for your collection? Thanks in advance.

Love that insert! Washed plots (with which I guess you mean that the tritium has been removed) and service hands (need better pics of the case) I would stay away unless the price is great.

eBay? No. Ku or another legitimate seller: Yes. Although I personally don't like the mixed look.

Not EBay. This is being sold by HQ Milton, one of the best vintage dealers out there.

I don't mind the "washed" plots and new hands. As with any watch, it's all relative to price.

Washed of plots will always be a solid No for me, hands you can replace.
I rather save up for something more original

You should buy it in that case. As you say, price is relative. A unwashed dial and matching hands 5513 will be considerably more. You have a vintage piece just not a collectors piece. Buy and enjoy!!!
Whatever tickles your fancy.

The tritium has been removed, revealing the white "under plots".

No it's hard to tell in this case but it was disclosed by the seller.

Indeed.

Thanks for the input everyone. I do like the "cleanliness" of the dial but understand it is certainly less desirable as a result of the dial work.
