Notable GMT 1675 Swap

A friend of mine who has 2 Rolex GMT 1675 with Fucshia bezels asked me if I would consider to swap my small arrow GMT 1675 for one of his plus a little cash consideration. It was a no brainer on my part so the deal was done. Happy now to have a 1967 GMT 1675 with 1.7M serial, mk1 dial and a beautiful fucshia bezel insert.

Why????

I'd rather have a small arrow. Much, much rarer.

So you traded a gilt 1675 for a 1675 with fuschia insert and cash, fair enough, can’t say I would’ve done the same...but, as long as you’re happy with the trade, that’s all that matters...just for fun, let’s see the gilt 1675 that was traded

I know that 1675, it's a beautiful piece!

I traded a matte dialled 1675 with a mk 1 dial. Some of the early matte dialled 1675 came with a small arrow hand.

Beautiful small arrow matte dial. I bet it had the extra phosphorus lume that glows a bit.

It’s a Swiss rivet.

I bet that watch did not glow at all like it should have for being 50 years old. Tritium does not last that long

60’s sports usually glow. 70’s not so much. Generally speaking of course.

I don't know how much cash was involved, but I think you did good. Its what makes you happy that counts.

The case and bracelet on your new watch look to be much better.

I’m guessing you like the insert the most - I think it’s great if you were done with the other 1675.

Did you verify the insert was original and undoctored?

Yes very happy with the trade. The fucshia insert is so mesmerising. The cash component was $1,500 which I find very reasonable.
