Ideal (obtainable) 2-watch collection

Here’s my ideal 2-watch collection that checks all the boxes for me: classic watches from classic brands, robust, prestigious, historical pieces, covers all bases, and … beautiful pieces.

I hope you enjoy it and I’d like to know your thoughts and recommendations.

My 2 watch collection is a black dial Daytona (116520) and a black/grey dial FOiS (310.30.40.50.06.001).

That SMP is a hugely underrated piece IMO. My eldest lad has one and it’s a fantastic watch that can be picked up new at a discount! Easily on par with my Sub.

Although I understand the allure of Cartier from a historical perspective, I can't stand their current brand identity. It falls under hype beast jewelry, which falls under the overpriced LV stuff. The SMP, on the other hand, is a fantastic watch. I would pair something with historical significance from the watch industry. A Reverso or a GS?

Great video, hard to argue against the two you picked.
