I'm lucky enough to have a K series [2001/02] 16710 with both lug holes and SEl's. The best of the vintage and modern attributes, imho.

Any idea how long this comb was available on the GMT II???

Now I'll need to coin a name [maybe "LHSEL", "SELLO", or "Holy SEL"?] for this rare variant and create a new future grail like the 16710's w/ 3186 movements and the "error dial".

No need really, as my GMT II will remain in the family and be enjoyed by my son [hopefully many, many years from now

It was around 2002 end of Y series early 2003,the Non lugs holes started to make there appearence on most models.Now the SEL was introduced around 2000 but the 16710 started in 1988/9 and the only upgrade was the SEL in 2000 so SEL with lug holes only a couple of years.

I don't know how many were made, but I sure don't see any of those around. Hope this newfound rarity doesn't keep the jubilee off that beauty, Dan!

Might keep the jubilee on because the Oyster bracelet date is so rare.

I think that first edition SEL's are keepers Dan..... They only spanned a couple of years.....

I have a P series 16710 with lug holes.
It was sold to me with a SEL bracelet when I bought it.
However, I am not the original owner so I can not document how it was sold when new.

Hi all, newbie on here but this thread caught my eye. Heres a pic of my 'k' series tt GMT 2, with SEL's and lug holes, with papers and reciept dated 2002.

I have a P with SEL, Holes, and no etching: and a Y with SEL, holes and Etched crystal.
