I would like to ask about the condition of this 18238.

I came across this watch for about $12500 and was hoping to see if this is a good buy or shall I pass. From what I see the watch seems to be in pretty good condition via its age. The bracelet has some stretch but, since Im not knowledge enough in this style bracelet is this bracelet really stretched or mildly?

does the lugs and bezel look sharp and not melted?

Looks in good condition, not too much stretch in the bracelet, definitely not worn as a daily from what I can see.

If it was me and I knew/trust the owner, I would do it.

If you don’t know/trust the owner maybe you should be a bit suspicious why the price is at the low end

Looks very good. Price is good for that condition, sharp edges and bezel.

I don’t agree this watch is priced much below the market for 18238’s - it’s within $1,000 of the spot that many are priced across the web.

Demessy in Dallas has one priced right at that point.

If you haven’t worn one already (I had one for a year in the past) be sure to try it on before buying. The case appears small on many wrists.

How is it a bit cheap? I've been following these DDs for a couple of years and you can pick these up (not all the time, but I've seen them several times from trusted sellers) for 11-13k USD with a bracelet without stretch, clean gold without any patina or whatever, no polishing (or too severe/noticeable).

Then again, this dial is a bit more special than champagne so I would say, yesssss go get it.

The only thing I would really pay attention to (besides bracelet stretch) is the bezel, if the watch is unpolished and looks really new, the bezel really pops. Else it can get a bit dull.

I can purchase this one for just a little more...and the band has very very little stretch to it. The bezel does look a little sharper as well.
