Mods seem wonderfully active these days, . . . unfortunately.

I will add though that I used to go to an expensive gym ($110/month) which had lots of wonderful facilities that I never used, like a pool (full of screaming children) and a steam room (I don't like heat) and basketball courts (I'm old and short) and hair salon (I'm not paying $80 for a haircut). To be fair, I live in an upscale part of town, but those prices didn't scare anyone away and the place was always crowded and noisy. Although you are right - folks tended not to linger on the machines like they do at PF. I disagree. I think they're doing a good job of keeping the riff-raff in control and enforcing rules. Things can quickly get out of control on these anonymous forums, and generally speaking TRF contributors behave themselves pretty well. Yeah, maybe that post wasn't *that bad* but it could have been a pattern of behavior, and it was just the last straw. Also possible that the offending post was removed and we don't really know what it was that pushed him over the edge.

I agree they do a great job, including recently. My "unfortunately" remark meant to imply that it is unfortunate that they even have to keep after us like they do. |
