Hi. I'm new to the Forum and looking for some help. I recently purchased a pre-owned Submariner Reference #14060 from an authorized dealer. The Serial # begins w/a P which I believe dates the watch to the year 2000. However, at 6 o'clock on the dial is the word Swiss followed by t25. In doing some research it appears that the T25 identifies watches with Tritium Lum, which I believe was replaced by Super Lum in 1999. That said, I'm concerned that the watch I own has this on the dial if it's of 2000 vintage. Hoping for some expert feedback on why this might be. Thank you.

Are you absolutely sure it's a P-serial? If so, it would almost always have a SWISS MADE dial. Maybe it would be best to post some clear photos of the dial and serial and frankly everything, so members can check everything for authenticity.

Im thinking 1998 was the last year for T25 (tritium) then 1999 was the transition year with SWISS only. P serial as Dan says 2000 and on is SWISS MADE.

I have an A-serial 14060 with a "Swiss" dial. If it helps.

Have you actually seen the serial number between the lugs? Or are you only going on what the AD told you. Maybe it’s simply a mistake.

Otherwise, a tritium dial would be highly unusual on a P serial watch, unless it was swapped, of course.
