Tudor Oyster 7804 question
I have a 34mm Tudor 7804 that I've been restoring. Everything is good to go except for the case tube.. the threads are totally gone and in attempting to carve some new ones I ended up breaking it.
It uses the Oyster Patent 5.3mm crown pictured. I believe some late bubbleback or early sport Rolex Oysters also used this crown. There are a couple for sale on ebay presently. My question is, how should I go about getting the replacement case tube? I've tried my local watchmaker and searching everywhere I can think of online. I haven't been able to find the part number even. As you can see from the picture, the case side threads are much bigger than the later 5.3mm and 6mm case tubes for the + and - crowns. Any advice or leads are appreciated. |
