Can’t be a price increase on 1st September according to most members on here because Paul Thorpe is predicting one

Correct. If he's saying it, it ain't happening.

At some point he will land randomly on the stopped clock twice daily square, this having a higher probability than anything he says being the true.

Has Rolex ever increased their prices in the middle of the year? Usually it's always at the first of the year?

Paul Thorpe is one of those guys who throws so much at the wall hoping something will stick. He’s usually wrong.

Nope. He’s been quite correct in the past year.

Seems to make sense
High inflation
Prices took a dip from March so rolex wants to take back the narrative and show that the market price moves up

If Paul Thorpe is wrong we will know very soon

Yes in the UK in 2019. And again on 01/01/2020. This is what prompted me to go grey for my SS black Sky Dweller in December 2019. In Q1 2020 MSRP had jumped significantly compared with Q1 2019 because of two price rises in the UK in less than 12 months, and the grey market price increased accordingly.

I am of the opinion that if he didn’t have that accent, less people would even listen to a word he says. He’s like a 60 year old dressing like a hipster.

There's always a price increase coming. If you say it enough times it'll eventually happen.

I welcome this! When I pay the inflated Grey price it will be closer to MSRP (They need to increase 1.5x-2x then we'd be at price parity.)

There are no rules about price rises, just as there are not for the factors which bring them about.

Having tracked rises (and one reduction) for nearly thirty years, I've seen anything from two rises in a year to periods of over five years when prices did not change at all.

With 10% inflation I'd expect at least that much every year
