im trying to work out why the Daytona is so unique and appealing,
it has zero to do with functionality
it has NO DATE,
hardly anyone uses it for the purpose intended,

what is it about the Daytona???

I am leaning a bit more towards the 116500 white, but it would be between the Hulk and the Daytona.

HULK is the best looking watch in the entire universe including multi-universes. Nothing comes close to it.

Rolex sports watches have many attributes. But they are not especially good looking.

I think the Deepsea Deepblue or Sky-Dweller blue are the most beautifull ones. Looking closely at Deepsea Deepblue, makes me think it at as usable work of art. It's just that well made.

Of course, it depends on how you define "modern"; A bit of a different opinion. I go with the 114200....classic, under the radar

In focus 114200.jpg

Sorry, got lost; didn't mean to post twice

GMTIIC in all black is right up there. Imo.

The splashes of blue in the BLNR don't mean that much to me.

Among the options, 116500 with white dial.

To me, the 114060 is the best looking although I have the 116610. 114060 is so balance and humble. You can go anywhere and do anything with it. The glidelock buckle is the best.

I just wish the GMTII has it too but no.

Accuracy is impeccable. Built like a tank. Great lume. Excellent legibility. Let me borrow a quote "Never leave home without it". Lastly, if your life depends on it, you can.

Hmmm, all the watches in the poll are great, but none alone define them as being the best modern day Rolex when the poll doesn't list the rest of the range....where's the DJ, the Explorer, The Air king etc.
Although I love the GMT, I'd have to say the best modern day Rolex is probably the Datejust. That's why it's the biggest seller by a mike compared to any of the sports watches listed in the poll.

Yeah I agree, I had the 114060 at first because I liked the way it looked. Thought I couldn't live without a date so I bought the 116610LN. Missed the ND sub so I sold the LN for the LV and bought the 114060. It's such a great looking watch

Subc with date no question. It's iconic because people can tell it's a Rolex from a mile away unlike the Daytona c that gets confused for less talented wristwear.

Ultimate pop is the latest dd in yg. That bracelet is transcendent.

214270. Original followed by new if we are talking SS. Followed by polar 216570. Of your list I would pick the subc 618.

Ironically, I have 3 SubC but no 114060. I will probably get one next year. Here are my SubC. Call me crazy but the "Glidelock" buckle is the tie breaker.

While it's way too big for me, I'm starting to think the new SD43 may be the best looking current Rolex model.

I'd say the new Daytona would be my choice with its classic look. Gorgeous watch.

An instant classic with cutting edge features and throwback vintage style, the 116500LN cannot be denied the title of Best Looking Modern Day Rolex.

It might even be the Greatest Rolex Of All Time.

Aesthetically the Pepsi is the best looking. I'm a bit put off by the price obviously and unfamiliar with the white gold in terms of durability and scratches. But it's an absolute stunner to look at.

If we're talking out of everything on the modern line up.....I'm going to change my vote to 116506. It's the ultimate and what I'm heading for for my anniversary next year.
