Will 4396r drop to below $39K?
Good evening.
I have admired the 5396r annual calendar for years. Finally, to ease the pain of my approaching 50th birthday, I’m thinking of buying one. The local dealer is offering me $39K. Given all the current madness, is this still a good price? Are these relatively available watches likely to drop further in price? Thanks for your help. Tarek |

Given all the current madness right now, take your $39K and buy some blue chip stocks. Twelve to fifteen months later, you will have that watch on your wrist and your $39K will still be in your pocket. By the way, I have the white gold version and absolutely love it.

Thanks for the advice. No one ever knows when the market will bottom out. There’s endless debate about that.
I’m in YOLO mode and dont mind spending the money but would hate to see the price drop significantly in a couple of months. Who knows whether the stock market would be up or down by then. The AD I talked to is making it sound like $39K is the deal of the century. Looking at Chrono24 and eBay, it seems like a good price. Not sure though because presumably, luxury goods are becoming harder to move, so there should be some drop in price. |
