Icon20 Boutiques Closed?

Hey Guys,

I’m interested in getting my first AP; the black dial 15500ST. Are there any boutiques currently open? Most of them seem to be temporarily closed, but it looks like a few of you may have been getting calls from them for incoming pieces? I’m in Arizona and was thinking of waiting to reach out to Beverley Hills (despite a previous negative experience) or possibly the NYC boutique.

Thanks!

I believe most boutiques are closed but depending on the state some AD’s may be able to ship watches.
The 15500 is not a piece that was readily available for purchase before this crisis so I doubt it is available now. Especially for a first purchase.
However, you may be able to get a good deal from a grey or someone who has one and needs to sell. It’s a buyers market.

15500ST is still hard to get at ADs or Boutique. There are a lots in the grey market at about $4000 more than msrp. In the next 2-3 months, it might comes down to msrp.

Thanks for the replies! I’m not in any particular rush, so I’ll wait and see if I can get an allocation from a boutique. If I do decide to go grey... do I still get the 5 year factory warranty? Looking at C24, most seller descriptions say they include their own warranty for 1 or 2 years.

With AP you can register the watch online and actually get 5 years from original purchase date. So a 15500 would be under warranty.

Do you know if AP is considering e-commerce (directly or though AD, like PP)?

Many stores and boutiques do offer the same system through email/phone with digital check-out online. AP stores in Switzerland and Spain do that if I’m not mistaken

Once it’s purchase time, they send a payment link to be able to pay online.

When you purchase from ADs/Boutique, they will register your name, serial no. and warranty no. for you to AP. The warranty card date start on that day with 2 years, but the card tell you to login to AP website and extend the warranty another 3 years, so total is 5 years from the purchase date.
If you purchase from grey dealer, it depends on the card that you get, the watches that purchase thru grey dealers already register to AP before under somebody else names. If the watch that you get already 2 years old and didn't go register for extension, the warranty will expire soon.
You need to ask them about the warranty card date to make sure that you still get a good warranty.

I got the black 15500 last year from NYC with no prior history. I am assuming it might be even easier this year.

Thanks! I dm’ed Material Good on IG and talked with Yoni. He offered to get me the watch and we’re working on delivery timing right now. I also asked if I could commission a custom rotor with my initials and he said it’s definitely something we can get done, it would just be a few months at least. I am beyond excited right now

Sorry, I only know about the boutique situation in Asia, Singapore just closed 2 days ago, Hong Kong is still open.
Good luck!
