That would be my suggestion. If we encourage our guests to stay in Monroeville, we can travel in either in one shuttle or several cars to Station Square and begin getting properly sloshed there (Hooters ?) before treating them to the incline experience, culminating in a fine dining experience overlooking the 'burgh. Then you and I sneak out before the check arrives, leaving them hopelessly stranded in an unfamiliar albeit picturesque town where the standing motto is "you can't get there from here".

Am I a visionary or what ? Stick with me, pal, your descent into the delightful depths of depravity is well underway. Next I'll have you lusting for watches with stars on them.

Are we going to go to watch shops?(notice here I did not restrict us to Rolex AD's...)
Are we going to get free T-Shirts like in Louisville?
Free food and booze at an AD?
I want my MTV!

Good Morning Dan !

You realize it was your York performance that raised the bar on the Annual Uber-GTG experience that we humble 'burghers can only aspire to emulate.

There are several large jewelers in the area, any of whom would be thrilled to have 15 or so marauding kooks invade their showroom and fondle their offerings. In addition, they may also show us some watches. Sadly, though, the ADs do not seem to be located in the downtown proper, where we would be doing the libations and social debauchery. The one place where I would want to take y'all is a grey/pre-owned shop right in downtown owned and operated by a Russian gentlemen who can only be described as the SW PA equivalent to our good friend Mosco. I would advise him to cull all of the Rolex pieces (at least) spread out amongst his three shop locations and have them coalesced at his downtown store for perusal by the TRFers. Suggest you have your wallets handy, because he gets great pieces and his prices are incredible. He is something of a local legend in the WIS community and a great guy to talk to as well.

Legitimate questions, Dan.

Yes, no, no, yes, yes, no, yes, no, no, yes, yes and yes.

Henne Jewelers, in Shadyside, has a boat load o' Rolex. They may also have other offerings, but I hadn't noticed. Imagine that!

Shadyside also has Pamela's Restaurant. The place where O'bama praised the hotcakes. (Prantle's too, huh doc?!)

Speaking of hotcakes, I gotta go make some dough.

Later....

If I hint that we're coming to visit, they will double the guard!

Dan, The Vault is the place where we MAY find boozle just laying around everywhere you look. Private, by appointment only type establishment. He WAS, and still holds it, a Rolex AD, but since his move into his new digs, doesn't have but one or two we all would have to fight over. Other brands, yes. Meh.

Man, I love Pamela's. I have some pics of the place in fact. I couldn't remember if it was in Shadyside or Squirrel Hill.

You're gonna run these guys feet off to bare stumps.

We have only a couple of days together, not a couple of weeks.

I was thinking D'Imperio's in Penn Center for a dinner.

Anthony is an exquisite host and he has a small area for just us, God willing.

I will certainly warn Henne's that we are contemplating a sweep of their establishment, so that they have ample time to prepare, if we all choose to visit them.

I may get a few showcase pics, if they allow, in the near future.

Can you snap a few in Uri's, doc?

Pamela's is ALWAYS packed, but I do all their work so I might be able to swing something, space wise, for lunch in Shadyside. Crispy-edged O'bama pancakes and heavenly hashbrowns, anyone?

Plenty of time and plenty of ideas. I love America.

Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, the strip, South Hills, Millvale...I MIGHT be missing one. Oh, Oakland, too!

YOU need to come for a short visit. Pick June 17th, 2011!

Squirrel Hill is the one then, love that place. There used to me a large Hebrew clock close by.

Listen, if I can make it from San Antonio, on such short notice to the York GTG then you have plenty of time!!
Sheesh, I'm even looking at tickets for the Louisville GTG, but that one is a bit more unlikely.

Sorry...won't get any sympathy from me on this one. Trust me, you don't want to miss any of these!
We really had the best times!

Besides, I will never look at a Ford Focus the same way again!
