Regulation For Speedy 3570

A friend's Speedy 3570 is 19 seconds fast, according to him. I believe, it's 3 years old, since purchased. I know a watchmaker, who can do it.

My question is, when they open it, to be regulated, does it maintain its water resistance? Or, it has to be pressure tested, so that it keeps being water proofed? Thanks!

Cheers.

Well....

It does not HAVE to be pressure tested....that is not what makes it waterproof, it only validates that the seals are intact.

But, the Speedy is only a minimally waterproof watch to begin with, so almost any watchmaker who opens one up should be able to do the test..

Speedy Regulation

Thanks, Larry! You're helpful, as always!

I asked the question, since both my friend and I thought, that once the caseback has been opened, it loses its water resistance; and, pressure testing is required. We learn something new everyday!

Cheers.
