Oysterflex Daytona 116518LN ...too flashy?

AD calls, (after birth of my son) to let me know they have something special... and sent me this picture. Says pics don’t do it justice!

I’ve never seen one in person, but I think I love it. Is this combination too flashy and showy, borderline obnoxious?

Can you dress up the Daytona Oysterflex
Or is it a casual sporty style only?

I had posted a few days ago asking if finding an Oysterflex Daytona at retail was possible... By all accounts it’s now an allocated piece and the prices are jumping up.

Anyone have this piece or pics of theirs they care to share?

I've got the white gold version and haven't ever had anyone notice it , OF strap makes the watch even more low key even in the Yellow Gold version in my opinion

Stunning watch, my current favourite reference. Not too flashy at all. Pull the trigger, you won't regret it.

I do not think this watch is too flashy. The OF tones it down a bit and it is a very modern take on a classic watch. I have always preferred the bracelet on a PM watch but as time has gone by I have started to say why not? Prices are only going up for the time being. If you can swing the price, I would go for it.

Not too flashy at all IMO. I used to own this and never received any compliments or attention, as I think the bracelet tones it down immensely vs a full gold bracelet. It’s a great all around PM for daily, weekend, whatever type wear. Jeans , polos & t-shirts are as dressy as I get, so this fit right in. As far as professional attire or similar....button downs, sport jacket, etc...it’d be fine with today’s standards. My only personal opinion is, I wouldn’t wear it with a tux or suit, but that’s just me.

It actually goes under the radar, and the prices have been creeping up on these lately so msrp is a good deal.

I have the white gold version. The OF definitely makes the watch look smaller than a full steel bracelet Daytona.

I actually quite like the look of the YG version!

99% of people wouldn't think it's a gold watch. You'll be fine.

Too flashy? 80% of the watch is rubber. Not flashy enough IMO! Lovely watch - get it!

I'm currently considering this one but in rose gold with sundust dial.

Pictures do not do it justice. They are telling you the truth.

Please indulge. For me. For you. For your family. Not too flashy at all! Enjoy it. And photograph it.

Terrific watch. Enjoy!

I don’t think too flash unless wearing to do lumberjack work or driving a cement truck.

Just curious, the OF looks loose on some of the photos. Does it wear loose or is it due to wearing it loose?

It has fins on the inside at the top where it connects to the end links.

This helps give the rubber some shape and structure and does give some spacing making it look loose but it isn’t.

I’m sure it’s something to do with shape, airflow and comfort.

I own a rose gold one and it is not too flashy at all with the OF strap.

I do wonder though if the rose gold yachtmaster has a more integrated design as the strap goes almost all the way to the case past the lugs vs this one looking more "tacked on" to the case.

Its not "flashy" but I can be quite noticeable cause Yellow Gold is always noticeable. .But who cares. Enjoy your watch.

Not too flashy at all, I had it on the wrist the other day and I usually wear jeans and a hoody. My new BLRO Pepsi flashier than that piece.
Do it!

It certainly is more flashy than its SS brother but I don’t see it being “too flashy”
