Custom lights surpass $5k. My Cool Fall tri-v 3b which is smaller than he palm exceeds that... yup I’m nuts.

We used to use HIDs for riding mountain bikes off road at night. Now LED technology has progressed such that HID is no longer necessary. Albeit HID are still brighter, LEDs are lighter and better on battery life....which is good for cycling purposes

I guess I must make my self more "CLEAR" How about HAND HELD "PRODUCTION" Lights @ USD$5000.00..Do not think you will see very many to top that...

I also am a cyclist, however more of a roading but I did buy quite a expensive HID Bicycle Light made in Germany from BUSCH & Muller that was around USD$1500.00 However they did not sell very many of these and in about 3 years they stopped making them but still to this day make top quality cycling lighting..

I now use LUPINE Betty R14 5000 LED Lighting and are just awesome being so light weight and long lasting battery life..Lupine is also made in Germany..

I’ve gone through most of them , SureFire, Streamlight , nightcore , Fenix ( many, and love them ) but lately I’m an Olight guy . Gave a few as gifts last Christmas . No,time for pics righ now .

They made these for less then a year and must be due to being very expensive and production cost they are no more... Its a beast..

I bought this Light Monkey used off Craigslist...typically they are some $ 1200.00 new.

Just a replacement bulb is $ 250.00.

Excellent lights for scuba diving.

Well I guess if your into scuba diving that would be quite nice, however I started the thread on hand holdable HID hand held Flashlights..:)

This is 2 years late but those arc lights were used in Hollywood to announce movie openings for many years. You can probably still buy them from prop houses or places like that, tucked in a back corner.

You can post a roll of bathroom paper if you like, there are no rules of 'thread ownership'

Now you can get powerful flashlights but they can be so powerful the heat they generate can start a fire, so more powerful isn't necessarily better.

Olight make a 1000+ lumen pocket carry and for me its 'amazing'. It has multiple levels and it ticks about every box you can think of, and its in Rolex Green.

Some of my lights.

Not high end but each have their features.

Some for spot beams 600 - 1000 metres.

Some for high fill light.

My favourite so far for size v performance is the Olight Warrior X Pro and I have just ordered two more in ‘Camo’. One as a back up for work and one for my son.
The Warrior has a #21700, 5 Amp battery with magnetic base charging and has an amazing performance for its size both in distance (rated 600 metres) and coverage.

The TM 06 second from right was my favourite but has a high parasitic drain and I have to keep it in its case with the base almost unscrewed or it discharges one of the four batteries in about 3 months and that is no good for battery voltage balance.
