Group Pictures and What's the next?

This was the first group picture of my collection

After 4 years trades and acquisitions, the group picture was taken again.

As you can see I am a modern watch guy, collecting the watches from popular brands. I either buy used watches or good discounted new watches. I payed full price at the AD for the 5711 and 116520 though.

To me, the collecting watches is not "spending money", it is transforming the money to another format. The difference in the bank account is just one digit, for example x50,000 to x30,000, but the difference in your life and mind is totally different. I enjoy waring the watches everyday, touch them everyday, physical feel the quality they bring you. I can't feel such a happiness if I have one digit difference in the bank account. I really feel this way, how many of you have the same feeling?

One more thing, what's your suggestion for my next target in this collection?

(Similar post was post in the Rolex Forum, I apologize if you see duplicate. I'd like to learn the opinion from Patek guys, too!)

Very nice and great progression!

GMT next? Move a Daytona for a 5164?

Indeed, I need a GMT watch. 5164 is a nice one, but I am not a rubber bend guy. Any other suggestion? I have been considering 5130 and Lange time zone, but living in US the daylight saving time makes me hesitate to move forward.

There is one minor point we will choose to ignore. 100k in bank is 100k. Buy 100k of watches, flip - now have .8 times 100k. But whatever, it's more fun as you say

Altho if your currency collapses suddenly the price of your hard to find popular watches rises.

I think your next move should be towards an independent.

Also, like me, you are heavily concentrated in 'sports' watches with the Lange being the exception. So maybe independent + non sports watch could be a filter for the next search.

Great collection.

You should reconsider rubber, a ROO or an Aquanaut are amazing to wear, feel, and super comfortable, yes even some ROO's are very comfy, ceramic or forged carbon diver for example.

About the rest cool collection, but since you like sporty really try on rubber ones, before a watch on rubber meant not great, that's over now, I have only bracelets and rubber, and very happy about it...

Great collection. As for the next piece, how about a Patek AC or PC?

I think you have your bases covered. Amazing collection.
I would add something in platinum. How about a Patek 5905p? Annual calendar with chrono in platinum for about 60k on the secondary market.

I think you should have at least 1 Grand Seiko spring drive. Incredible watches.

Snowflake?

You have an amazing collection there. I totally agree with your thought process. Life is short and you can't take your money with you.

Wow, great collection!

I would suggest to consolidate;

Move the president, RO and 5980/1R for an AP 15202BA, and the Rose Gold Daytona for a WG BLRO to get the GMT. Killer collection.

It looks like the 5164 can work with the 67’s bracelet, if the rubber strap is the only stumbling block.

I echo the thoughts toward an indie brand, like Journe.
