Would you all sell the GO PanomaticLunar to fund a 5711?
I've been really eyeing adding a Pp to my collection. Currently have:
AP15400 white face Rolex SubC Omega Blue Seamaster GO PanomaticLunar Grand Seiko Snowflake Grand Seiko SBGA105 spring drive Grand Seiko SBGV005 HAQ Grand Seiko SBGJ005 hi beat GMT Thinking of thinning the Grand Seikos down to 2 (Snowflake and Quartz) and then looking to add a Nauitulus or possibly ROO titanium. Thoughts? |

Tried on a few watches up for consideration.
Tried that on to get a feel for the nautilus size. Can't spring for that one just yet lol. |

Yes, I like the Pano so maybe I'd sell 3 GS. Or all those plus Omega and add the AP TI and Nautilus.

Meaning keep the Pano? I like that it adds a very distinct German flavor to the collection and is also a beautiful watch that fits me well for a dress occasion. I'm hugely into super slim dress watches so actually prefer it. |

And would you for the 5711 over say the ROO titanium?

Depends on what size watch you are looking for. To me the ROO is too big of a watch for my wrist. My 5711 is the perfect size for any occasion at 40mm.

That's something only you can decide. I've had both and they are equally great but different. (Still have the 44Ti)

Absolutely, would let go of the GO and GS and might as well the omega sea master (you already have a SubC anyways). Then add the AP ROO and PP to the collection.

The 5711 would be the watch I moved toward. I prefer the white dial.

I wouldn't sell the GO for a 5711. This is mostly because I'm not a massive fan of the 5711 - I find it a bit boring. The one I chose was the 5712 - same overall look from a distance, plus funky dial layout, complications, and more importantly the 240 movement with micro-rotor. It's fearsomely accurate, and makes me smile every time I look at it.
I'm not a GO owner, but it's a great brand, very nice watch, and you'll take a beating on resale. |

Well the 5712 is an option as well. Finding either might be a challenge it seems.

Rather than 5711, since the GMT is going (unless you’ve no real need for knowing the time in another region of the world – deducting 3 hours for West coast time isn’t difficult), I’d propose a switch to a 5164 instead. The Glashutte Original stays, since that’s your only proper complication in the bunch, and lets you add a chronograph in the form of the ROO, although don’t discount the likes of the Chopard Chrono One, a Parmigiani Fleurier Pershing 002 (42mm rather than 45mm version), or even a Girard Perregaux Chrono Hawk in steel or ceramic. If anything, going for one of those 3 alternatives would keep more money in your pocket or allow for something else you’ve fancied. You could still get both your ceramic bezel and Gerald Genta fix by opting for the like of this. |

Yeah that's the kind of collection I'm thinking could make sense. Although I'll keep my GS Snowflake primarily because it's so comfortable and spring drive is awesome. And the Rolex SubC as it was the first nice watch I bouyhbt and just fits all occasions. |

Seems like you prefer bigger watches. As such I'd pick the ROOs over a 5711.
