My darling son with his favourite / my watch

Well we have all seen the advertisements but today I had to laugh
My son is six and loves my watches
Today I told him that I bought something special home and did he want to have a look.
He immediately said yes.
I pulled out my 5131 and his eyes opened and with a cheeky smile he says 'that's my favourite can I have it when I grow up'
To which I said 'yes of course'
He followed up by recanting why the watch is so special (he is definitely my son)
Anyway my story may have been lost in translation and I apologise for the crappy photo but I was very pleased that one day this watch will be going to a good home...

Funny, cool son.
One time to,make a joke I go around midnight to my son's room, he was 5-6 at the time, put the 5712 on his wrist and took a pic, the joke was on TRF where I wrote "love the watch but maybe should resize it".
Of course the flash woke him up, he sees the watch on his wrist just before I take it back, I tell him to sleep, 2 minutes later he comes in our room with a look as if someone has killed his dog, parents and stolen all his toys, and says with a pitiful voice "but the watch" of course after that he was so upset I had to get my Omega Seamaster and give it to him, he slept with it, and the whole next day was walking around with his forearm up and the watch near the elbow, like a woman wearing a handbag. It was hilarious, but when bath time came I gave him a small car which made him forget about the watch, he'll get it around 13-14 I guess...

Must be so gratifying to have a son who appreciates and enjoys Dad's watch hobby... let's hope the iphone doesn't get in the way of that later.

The little ones - it makes all the hard work so worth it.

Great story, and he's an adorable little big man, Hamish. Among many other things, it sounds like you'll be able to share your love of watches with him for years to come, which is special. Thanks for sharing.
