A beauty from 1934
I went watch hunting yesterday, pawn shops, thrift stores and garage sales. I found this gem at a pawn shop for $75.00. The very young sales lady told me the battery was dead! Its keeping excellent time. 1934 Hamilton Drake in 10k White Gold filled with yellow gold applied markers, a rare combo for this model. The blued hands are really gorgeous.
Living in south Florida I love all things art deco and it doesn't get more authentic than this. For a watch this old, this must have looked like a Panerai back then as it's quite large for it's time period and still very wearable today |
