Speedy Co-Ax
Is the Speedy CO-AX two sub dial model a hit or less well regarded by the Speedy fans?

I don’t like it at all. I have a 40mm speedy racing panda on bracelet. I can’t imagine wearing a 44.25mm speedy. If you want a big watch go for it, it has one cool case back. I’d probably go for the moonphase version if I had to pick.
Have you tried it on? Which version are you looking at? |

The XXOTM variations are only cool because of the case material. That’s it. The moonphase is a dressy/sporty multi complication....I wouldn’t think of Omega if I wanted that. And prices of the Co-axials are substantially more, prices into the pre-wild market Rolex sports models I think Omega kinda got ambitious and fell on their asses |

Agree with those saying it's just too big. If it was smaller at 42mm it could be a viable option - but it isn't, so it's not. I'd echo the same comments to the Planet Ocean 43.5mm also.

I owned a racing dial bought new and traded it (plus a chunk of cash!) for my Grand Seiko SBGH267 20th anniversary. I’ve since bought an Ultraman, which is much more traditional and please at 42mm. The coaxial version is a great watch, but needless to say I took a thrashing on the resale, even though I got it waay under list on gray market. I got impatient and bought it early in the release.
All that said, it’s a fine watch, is incredibly accurate with a great perforated strap, and wears very comfortably due to its relatively thin profile. There’s no getting away from it’s raw measurements-it is 44.25-period. It ended up one of those opportunity-cost propositions for me. I decided it was too much to tie up in a watch I wasn’t totally in love with. The GS I’m in love with and the Ultraman is crazy cool, so bases covered. They are probably less well regarded. I prefer them because they have an automatic movement with all the latest updates and a date, and I like the design. I think they are aimed at a younger market, maybe first time brand buyers.

Or at those who prefer function over form. The realization of the chronograph function in 93** movements is much more useful than in traditional 30-mins chronos. You get a watch inside the watch, chronograph hours and minutes are seen at a glance. Only IWC has a movement like this on some models but I'd dare to say that Omega movements are better. The accuracy and stability of these movements is fantastic. I owned such watch for 3 years, foolishly sold it and now going to buy a Racing from the previous posts of this thread, only on the bracelet (which has micro-adjusted clasp btw). i |

I’ve had many Speedys, they never seem to stick, just got the blue moonphase and loving it.
But my ultimate would be a Snoopy...

I'm not a Speedy connoisseur, but I have to say the Racing Master Chronometer is my favorite one.
Just got mine last month, I'm over the moon, or honeymoon infatuated more like. Love the full 12hrs chrono in a single subdials, vertical clutch so you can leave it running as a second time zone too without added wear. Chrono action is super slick. Accuracy is fantastic. Started with +3s/d (resting 3up), now averaging +1s/d (resting 9up). Detractors prefer the Moonwatch, but the Speedy was a racing watch before being an astronaut watch, which I find kind of cool and I'm drawn to this aspect of the heritage more than the space missions. |

They are too thick. It is sad because of omega made such a fine movement, but watch is 16-17mm thick.

One if my favorite designs from omega. Love everything but the size, and unfortunately that size has kept me from pulling the trigger.

I have the black Racing with orange hands. Love it because of the accuracy, Date & automatic.
