DavidSW Missing Booklets

Hi - I have been seeing more and more watches on his site that do not have the booklets. Anyone have a guess as to why? Seems odd the warranty and box would come with the watch but not the booklet.

Not always important and easily bought afterwards

Also noticed most of his watches no longer show/have the serial tag. I bet lots of people on TRF are getting nervous about that.

I’m sure he can provide booklets. Of the several NOS watches I bought from him over the years, all had warranty cards, booklets and chrono tags/boxes. None of them had the original price tags which I like to have for completeness.

One of the watches I bought from David did not include the booklets but he quickly provided them when I asked....simply an oversight. He provides excellent service IMO.

I concur.......a full kit should come with these watches! They’re newer models, & with today’s pricing, one should get all the bits And pieces

He must have something to sell when the displays is like at the AD's.

I guess the "problem" is when David buy preowned watches the owner not have all the parts.

DavidSW Missing Booklets

Not that David needs me to shill for him...but I will say this.

Having recently shopped online for - and just purchased a watch he does not get in large supply - from another vendor... I do not begrudge David the premium he can command.

The lack of transparency / evasiveness / game playing other sellers exhibit is something I don’t have patience for.

If for some reason David did not have a particular accessory / item of provenance for a watch, he would say so upfront or an inquiry would get a definitive answer. He also depicts such items in his photos.

His photos are also detailed, in-focus, showing the key areas of a watch where damages / polishing occur. Finally, and most importantly, the photos represent the actual condition of the watch that will be delivered to you.

Seems academic, but not based on my revert experiences.

DavidSW and Booklets?

Meh. Booklets to just about any model can be purchased on the Bay or elsewhere. What matters (to me and others, I believe) s the watch itself. Yes, of course, "full kit" should come with booklets, but he states clearly what does or does not come with a given watch.

If you are buying a watch to 'flip' and sell quickly, then maybe booklets coming with the watch is important. If, on the other hand, you are buying a watch to actually, er, own a quality timepiece, buying from DavidSW (now taking Affirm like a serious seller) is a gem.

PLenty of watches in subpar condition are found on ebay. David, though he did not ask for me nor others to vouch for him here, though this is a Whos's Who section, so reasonable to reply as I have bought from him more than once, is an excellent seller. His communication, payment acceptance, resolution of the minutest of issues, superb quality of watches are one of the best. (SDWatches and many others on here also very good...) but the eye candy at DavidSW's site (and some of the other sites we all routinely go to) is nearly as much joy as owning the watch.

Back to booklets... to each their own....

Since you are paying above MSRP ask him for the complete set with booklet. If he cannot provide then it is up to you if you want to pass on that timepiece.
