Need help with purchasing 116718LN Gold with Green Dial

I got an offer for Rolex GMT Master II 116718LN gold with a green dial.
$26,000 comes with box only, no papers and etc.
2007 and in fairly good condition.
I wanted something with a green dial for a long time, do you think it’s a good deal or should I pass?
Thanks in advance.

I don’t think it’s a good deal. I just traded mine in and it was complete. I would think $24 - $25k Max it complete. $22k max if not complete.

They’ve jumped a bit in price since being discontinued, but I wouldn’t pay that much unless complete and mint.

PM prices have really gone up AND this model is discontinued. I don't think you can get this watch for 25K with b&p. That may even be a stretch without b&p.

From eyeballing Chrono24, I see them listed for 26K to 40K. Most in the 29K to 32K range.

Coincidentally, I saw one of these in the wild yesterday for the first time in a while, and I must say it was gorgeous. Almost made me consider swapping my YG Sub for one. The green dial is A+.

For a premium watch like that I think a complete set is a must. It will make a difference in future value, regardless of what everyone says about not buying watches as an investment the reality is resale value is based on this partly. If ever you need to sell you'll be in a better position with a complete set.

I did not see it in person, but it looks beautiful on pictures and videos.

I have another seller who also offers me the same price, I will give an offer for 25 500 to both and see who will take it first

I agree. At the PM price point I would only buy a complete set. I am fine with no b&p on vintage, but a bit suspicious when the watch is only a few years old...like this reference.

I’d pass

One trusted seller has one for $30.8k asking that’s mint and 11 years newer. I bet you could get that for $29ish.

+1 I also would want it to be complete and mint for resale if you ever decided to sell.

Pass on this. You can buy a full set for close to that.

Also consider that the one you are thinking of is from 2007 and will need service soon. I think you should keep looking. And btw, great choice- this model is stunning!

I would pass and for the money being asked you should be able to get a newer example that is complete with box and papers. Remember when you are looking at our Trusted Sellers that asking price and getting price are usually two different things. Good luck.
