Traded my Tudor GMT for GMT Master II + cash

Guys - I just did something crazy: I traded my Tudor GMT for a brand new black ceramic GMT Master II (stickers still on and stamped March 2019) and added $9,600. This is insane, I know. I just couldn’t stand the thickness of the Tudor.

This hobby is really getting out of hand...

The die is cast but still keen to get your views on this trade.

Nice one! Enjoy your new watch. It's a nice upgrade. It might sting right now, but you'll be happy in the long run. Got any Scotch to celebrate?

I think it’s a good trade. The GMT Master II is the superior watch.

I think you did well. You didn't care for the Tudor, so no use in keeping that one. You got the watch that you wanted, so I would just enjoy it now. The GMT LN is a nice watch!

I sold my Tudor GMT for the exact same reason. Couldn’t come to terms with the thickness. It seems a shame they just couldn’t get it under 13mm. Oh well, your LN is my daily and fave. Congrats on the move that works for you!

I agree, the 15 mm thickness of the Black Bay is too much for me as well. Whereas it looks great, I kept bumping into everything
As for the deal, just forget it and enjoy your Rolex. If you wait long enough, you may get your money back
