I prefer it loose so it jingles and jangles as I walk. Sort of like heel spurs.

OP I know you meant well so thank you for that. The problem is that not everyone’s wrist bone and wrist anatomy is like yours. Sometimes the narrowest or most comfortable part of the wrist to wear a watch is different from the average wrist like yours.

I tried to follow OPs "advice", but I realized that in my case there's no way to wear the watch loose enough above the wrist bone to be comfortable, and not to slide over the wrist bone and all the way down.

In my case, the smallest part of my wrist is below the wrist bone.

I wear my watch loose and lower down because (for me) it looks better and is more comfortable.
I'll take that one step further and for me it even varies based on the watch. I wear my Dive watches above my wrist bone. My others such as my Daytona looser and below. Part of it has to do with GlideLock on my Rolex divers and the rest has to do with the case back shape. None really have anything to do with the smallest part of my wrist. If you size your watch to the smallest part of your wrist, then it won't be very comfy since you won't be able to move it or adjust. OP is wearing an 116600....I am not shocked he found the most comfy place above the wrist bone
