Christmas in Dubai // unexpected incoming
Hi guys
As you know I've already purchased 2 new watches this year. Thought I was done but due to the endless enabling, great pictures on this forum and a surprising stock leveI I was unexpectedly tempted. Short story: I flew out to Dubai and arrived today (1:00 AM) and after the longest passport queue I was finally in town. After a short night sleep I thought I'd go to the mall of the emirates to grab lunch at subway and buy a nice sub. Meatball marina without any green stuff on it. Anyways as always I walk into the Rolex boutique to ask for the "never stock models". Daytona C and the green Submariner. I was responded with an instant "sorry sir no stock" when the manager suddenly popped up and told me a reservation on the 116610LV had just expired. Oh boy! I asked to see the watch and it hadn't even been taken out of the coffin yet. I jokingly told the salesman if you get me 10% off I'll buy it. He replied with the standard "hmm will be hard blah blah" but ended with okay sir, congratulations. A bit taken back by the ease of this negotiation I pulled out the card and bought myself the last watch of 2016. A 116610LV aka the hulk ! Really pleased with this in addition to the BLNR and AP 15400 Pictures;
