ETA movement in historic series

Hello everyone, i'm new to Panerai and considering the purchase of a 177. The one thing that i find as a distraction though is the lack of in house produced movement in this particular watch. I recognize Panerai make some in house movements, and, would love to buy a 233 but it is out of my price range. So that said, how good is the ETA movement in the 177? I'm now also considering a 312 or 320 as an alternative, but i really like the brushed titanium of the 177. Anyway, just wanted some opinions on the quality of the ETA movement used in the 177. Thanks for your help.
