Rolex 116520 lume crumbled

Can any expert here help me out with this: I am seeing a Rolex 116520 serie P from 2001, white dial. Everything ok except that some of the luminous hour markers seem to crumble/deteriorate. The picture taken by my phone was not clear enough, but the crumbles are hardly visible by naked eyes.

Just want to know how this issue affect the value of the watch? Or this is normal to a watch of nearly 20 years old? Is there anyway to stop the cumbling process?

Many thanks in advance.

We've seen the Patrizzi, now this might be the snowflake(i)?

It is only about the lume dots as some of them started to crumble or deteriorate (in a bad ways). Other than that the dial looks nice, and yes the color is a bit off-white or starting to turn cream.

I like the off-white dial but little bugged off by the lume dots.

Is it a serious issue?

I cant really the crublimg and have not seen it in a 116520 before so not really sure what this one was exposed to or how that happens. I’m sure if the crumbling was real bad it would not help the value....0

Anyone knows about re-lume of a Rolex 116520? I know relume is a turn off for a vintage, but this one is a 6 digit.

If you buy it, perhaps you should factor in the cost of a service dial. However, I'd also consider the fact that it may have been exposed to moisture, so you will want to have a watchmaker inspect the movement.

I actually intend to buy it because of the off-white dial so a service dial would not be an option. How about servicing the lume dots?

I know the cream command a premium over the white and black dials. Are you paying a premium? I ask because the dial doesn’t look very off white to me. The lume and the dial color look about the same to me, white

No, I am not paying a premium, that’s why I intend to buy. The dial does look off-white though not very much. I did compare it against a 2015 one.

Looks white to me, the dial looks to close in white to the markers. Just another white dial to me although it could change in the future. Definitely polished in the past, or overpolished

Maybe I'm getting old, but I don't see crumbling, which would be more common on tritium dials, not luminova. But on another matter ... that poor 1 o'clock lug. Way over-polished!

Here are some more pics. Is the dial off-white and case over-polished?
Thanks

It could be turning from white to cream, it's bang on for the year P which is 2000. If you look at my Avitar you will see my P 2000 which has been cream for a number of years.👍

In the first couple pics the top right lug looks noticeably too thin, that would bother me

It doesn't look overpolished. Just wear it and more importantly, enjoy wearing it.👍
