Why not get a Rootbeer or some other watch instead of another Skydweller

I like the rootbeer but it’s a watch I know I’d grow tired of…similar to my Starbucks, Yachtmaster 40, Datejusts and the many others I’ve had and sold. My Skydweller, WG YM 42 and my Polar Exp 2 are the only timepieces I’ve not grown tired of

I have a blue dial SS and just put my name down for the full RG SD I don't think it's a silly idea at all

I also have a ss white SkyD. I really like it. Have you seen the rg SkyD slate (or whatever it is) on OF in person? It is a spectacular looking watch. Pictures do not do it justice.
The OF felt great, and not top-heavy, but I only had a few minutes with it. I am very interested in the rg SkyD, the only thing holding me back is that I am considering a Patek 5524 to handle my daily travel/dual time needs. It's a bit more under the radar than either SkyD, and I kind of like that. |

It's a totally different look. Sounds like a good plan.

Never been a Rolex fan until recently fell in love with the SKydweller. Went crazy YG White Face Oyster, SS Blue Face Jubilee, and found a WG 326939 with a white face and Batons. So get what you wear and enjoy.

Love the Rose Gold SkyD, and love rubber straps, but just not a fan of end links. I would probably go bracelet, and the add a rubberB or Everest.

Buy what you want.
My suggestion would be to buy a Daytona on Oysterflex. The Sky will be a lot easier to get from your Ad as they are all readily available. However, you could get a Daytona OF on the grey for less money.

I would get the rose gold OF....just not sure if I would go with a rhodium or chocolate dial. I think for the chocolate dial, you could always add a dark brown leather/alligator strap as well as a black leather/alligator strap. Could be quite versatile.....now I would only need to find someone who makes these straps for the SD with the end links.
