Zenith El Primero Defy 21

What an amazing looking watch, and what an achievement of engineering and watchmaking.

For those who haven't seen this before- it operates off of 2 escapements. Essentially 2 movements in one!

One that keeps the time at 36000 bph, and another for the chronograph operating at 360,000 bph! The first ever automatic chronograph capable of 1/100th of a second measurement. Watch some YouTube videos on the chronograph operation- stunning.

A few floating around on the grey market at msrp of ~$10k- can't wait to get my hands on one.

No, I don't work for Zenith, just a huge fan of their innovation.

Does anyone have one of these? Any comments?

Just saw one on a Strap. It is an awesome piece! I love Zenith watches; however, the long term value is not strong and that keeps me from buying new. I did buy a 42 El Primero 36 000 Tri-color new, then Zenith lowered the retail price... all that being said, I love the watch...

I agree. I tried this watch on my wrist at Watchtime NY this past October and while I loved it, it was huge on my wrist. It made me a little sad that it didn't fit me, because the watch really is a technical marvel.

They will launch something in Defy line in 41mm size in next 10 days at Basel. Hope it will feature similar openworked mechanism.

I'm surprised there aren't more for sale online- they've been out for months now.

Beautiful watch. Love the integrated bracelet as well. Zenith is on another level with chronographs in terms of innovation and design.

Still have not seen them for sale. Maybe not a good sign that only a few are sold after release..? Also heard from a sales person these movements go bust really fast. Anyone knows how much guarantee Zenith gives?

I also really like the watch and like to try it on, I think however it's to big for me.
