Adding a dress watch: pfj? Patek? Or another brand?

Hi, would like to add a dress watch. Would be a regular wearer & certainly up to the task of a daily driver. Currently I have the blro, smurf, hulk, subc date & JLC sun/ moon in ss. Might have to move one of the above to fund purchase.
Below r the watches I’m considering .... and a wild card. Can u let me know your thoughts on appearance and reliability. Btw, 8” wrists and I’m 6’3” and about 285lbs( with at least one foot on the scale).I wear suits but prefer jeans/ t shirts.

Not sure it fits the classic description of a dress watch, but I like the Patek 5164 the best, by far, of your options. I travel quite a bit for work, so I end up wearing the 5164 with suits quite often. I think it works

Based on what you said, I’d go with the Patek 5164 as well. Can easily be worn with a suit and looks great with casual clothes. Easy choice for me

i vote for the wild card... 5164. Im 6'5 and it has great wrist presence but at the same time isnt big.

and this thread needs a wrist shot.

I would go look at the Cellini's. Great watch and can be had for a great discount.

The UJ 2240 is an excellent option, but don’t overlook the offerings from Moritz Grossmann and Lang & Heyne too.
The 5164 isn’t exactly a dress watch, and given the array of Rolex models you have to change into when you get out of your suit, then I’d be more inclined to kick that one into the long grass as a future replacement for the BLRO.
Hard not to like the FPJ as well, but we need to see something different on here...

The aquanaut isn't a dresswatch. More the same for you.

FPJ has 42mm dresswatches, the octa divine. They look great dressed up or down and have the size you need.

FPJ. At your size you could easily pull of the 42mm FPJ’s.

I also have a big wrist and own three of your four choices - in some cases with different metals/dials. The PP5146 seemed small for me and is the one I don't own. I have the 5164R, which is a great dressy sport watch but not in any way a dress watch - the steel version even more so. I have the rose gold/black dial FPJ CS and think the platinum that you list hits the dress watch mark but also can dress down a bit and is a nice daily wear watch. The UJ 2240 is one of my favorites and is a perfect daily wear watch. ALS 1815 and RL models also deserve to be on your list.

Appreciate all the responses. I’m going to sit on my decision for a while. I have yet to try on the 5146. Beautiful watch but if it wears small I’ll take a pass. In the back of my mind I’m considering trading in the blro for the 5164 & saving up for either the UJ or PFJ.

Also the Cellini line has caught my eye but I’m trying for a bit of brand diversity but also want the comfort of decent value retention. Probably consider gently used as first choice.

I may have stolen that same shot & blown it up for my post( so, thanks & sorry!)
Any idea how large of a wrist the rubber strap( uncut) would fit?

Among the ones there, I'd probably go with the Journe followed by the Patek. I would take a look at Lange too.

I would second looking at Lange if you want a real dress watch.
