Do 1675 inserts fit in 16750 bezel?
I know it isn't period correct but I was just wondering if a Fuschia 1675 insert would fit in a 16750 bezel?
thanks |

I have two 1675 inserts, but I am not able to snap the inserts into my 16750 bezel. They are free rotating on the bezel itself.
Any idea why this happens? |

The insert is not genuine. If genuine, the insert has been shaved on the edges by someone in the past. The bezel is worn down from age. One thing you can try if the insert is genuine, especially with older inserts, is to flatten it out a little from the top side with a round pencil or similar item to restore it back to its original shape. Roll the pencil across the top while applying pressure to flatten it some.

Thanks John. Does it mean when the insert was new, it should be more flatten? I shall try that if I understand what you meant correctly. For my case, I tend to believe it is more of the bezel is worn down from age. |
