Deep Blue escaped the Basel chopping block, right?

I posted this in another thread but it got buried.

It's still on the site, so I'm thinking yes?

Yes it did for now, but not sure for how long as I don't think it makes sense to have a 43 and 44mm diver, but only Rolex knows for sure.

For now. But considering it was never introduced at a basel show than most likely it will not be discontinued at a basel show. One day it will just dissapear like the old sub and 16610lv. You will wake up and 'poof'. Gone.

Agreed. It seems as if lately, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that models that are discontinued are NOT announced at Basel.

Deep Blue

I don't care how Rolex changes the Sea Dweller, or may even discontinue some models, IMHO there is only one SD to buy that is the DEEP SEA BLUE.

If the RSDc was 42mm it might have stayed but think they will now be phased out.

It's still on the Rolex site, but it's bundled with the Sea-Dweller. Before it was its own separate entity. Think it might be phased out soon

Either way, D-Blue is still my favorite modern Rolex by far

Agreed. Put it on a Rubber B and solve the skinny bracelet and top-heavy issues.
