Congrats! I've just started my hunt for one, and so far, have had little luck in the Bay Area. I've been laughed out of ADs. Unfortunately my Rolex AD that I've bought most of my watches from lost their AD status. Switched to a new one about 4 years ago, but they did not carry Patek.
Consider yourself blessed! Enjoy in good health!! |

Congratulations. The white dial looks amazing. Given the choice, I don't know whether I would pick blue or white. Anyway, I still have never seen a single Nautilus in real life! My AD promised to let me know when they get the next one it, so I can hopefully get down there to see it before it gets picked up by the lucky client who ordered it.
Enjoy! Carl

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome!

I also have a pretty good relationship with a guy at Shreve's; interestingly he told me that patek is changing their model to allocation-based for the 5711/5712's (not sure what it was before); but he mentioned that they're getting a small bit more than they thought they would, and know these #s from the get go. He did mention that he thinks I'll get the 5712 within 1-2 years, which is a much better response than most I got when inquiring about a 5711. Don't give up, it's possible I think! Anyways, thanks everyone; been taking photos of the 5711 all day and still can't believe I have one on my wrist!

The sound (not 'noise') of the rotor winding the watch is just great. Congratulations on adding one of the future most iconic watches of all times – the piano dial Nautilus is really breathtaking. Now, don't give up waiting for your next target, and soon you will own what is really the nicest Nautilus duo: the Piano 5711 and the 5712 (which is my favorite watch). Again, congratulations on the watch(es) and on the refined taste. |
