Tudor GMT has arrived (Dallas, TX)

I got an early AM call this morning that my Tudor GMT on strap, ordered a day or two after the Baselworld release, had arrived.

I picked it up this afternoon. For me, it was definitely better in person/on wrist than I expected. The blue and red sections of the bezel are identical to that seen on comparable Black Bays, and complement the matte black dial very nicely.

My AD mentioned that they had received more in their initial shipment than they had expected and were hopeful that all their backorders would clear before the end of the year, if not sooner.

My AD had to punch a few extra holes in the strap to acommodate my wrist size, but longer straps will be available in a couple of months. I did try on the bracelet style while I was there, but I still preferred the strap version. The strap, to my taste, makes this a bit more versatile.

Very pleased so far. I will get some photo's up tomorrow AM.

Definitely worth the very short wait!

Coincidental that you posted this, I picked up one today in Dallas as well. I agree that it looks incredible on the wrist. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Congrats.

My Aad sent me pics of their first arrival of this model. It was a strap version and he said he prefers the bracelet or the NATO. I like the look with the bracelet by fear it wears too thick

Congrats. I have it on the strap too, and it’s great. I purchased the bracelet too and looks great on both plus also the NATO’s I have. A very versatile watch. Enjoy it.

There is more room to extend the strap (if NATO) on the buckle end... Bit of a pain to do, but gets you some extra room

If I do it will be the leather , so at 8 1/4 do you think I’d need the longer version of the strap and I’m wondering if it’s a special order only

I'm a bit over 8 5/8" on my left wrist. The AD punched two extra holes in the long end, leaving just a small tab of the strap. This effectively added about 5/8" to the strap. It's a "firm" fit on the longest of the two holes.

I'm ordering the longer strap; I would guess that you'd find the long strap much more comfortable, also.

Though my watch is somewhat wearable as modified, I'm going to swap to a NATO until the longer strap arrives.

This issue exists with almost any watch I buy; The AD had to add 3 links to my new Explorer to get it sized right.
