3 year old Sub C.. Does it need service already?

Not an expert but honestly not fond of these readings, do you think it needs servicing? Called RSC and was quoted 700 for service alone

It is still under warranty and this accuracy is outside of the -4/+6 spec. Chances are good you can get a free regulation from RSC if you argue. Good luck

I certainly hope not! My guess is if it's still under warranty would be covered to send it in.

Were these readings done with a full mechanical wind with mainspring at peak power-reserve?.A well regulated watch will have an amplitude of between 270 to 300 in different positions on full manual winding at peak mainspring power.

I think amplitude and precision seem fine. It looks like you just need a regulation for accuracy.

Are the Ace Timer timegraphers considered good quality and accurate?

It would not bother me to the extent I would spend 70 never mind 700. I don't need to know the time is 'exact' to the millisecond.. I'll set the time every odd month if it needs adjusting when I set the date.

(you bought a Rolex to tell the time? lol..)

You wouldn't generally get a watch serviced for a simple regulation issue.

Regulation by any CW21 watchmaker shouldn't take more than a half hour, or they might hang onto it for a couple of days if they want to watch for any drift.

Purchase date is dec 2014. Red seal. Not the green one. I’m afraid I’m out of warranty.

I wouldn't think a regulation would cost at all. It's guaranteed to COSC

Not after three-and-a-half years, unless it sat on a shelf for a long time before that.

A microstella adjustment at your local AD with a watchmaker should work and costs a lot less than sending away.
