This is kinda growing on me now. Wasn’t sure about the matte dial at first (I generally prefer the oil slick gloss black Rolex do) but this works.

Cool comparison, T4S! What I hope to see (eventually) as well is a comparison of the SD43 & 126660's bracelets. I'm guessing the difference won't be as dramatic. It will still be easy to differentiate - the height of the DSSD is notable...

A great many thanks for your most awesome feedback, gentlemen! It is a pleasure talking about the watches I love through such "pictorials" but it's also a "hard day's work" and so it is great to get this kind of feedback from my peers

Chromalight Fades quickly on my SD43

Hi All - I recently purchased an SD43 and love the watch. Only thing I noticed is that the chromalight seems to glow very brightly for around 3-5 minutes and then fades (and then lasts at that less bright level for several hours). Anyone else notice this? My other watches have luminova and don't seem to do this - glows bright for around 30 minutes. I posted question in general section, but thought I would post in this group given which watch I am having this issue with. Trying to figure out if I should send it in...

Thanks all!

Normal. Rolex has never been known for great long lasting lume.
With that said, and with an adjusted pair of eyes to the dark, I can read mine in the early hours of the morning, without any trouble, when looking for the time..

Thanks. Glad to know - couldn’t find any info on how long glows brightly. Thanks!

I also love the blue glow - question for you - how long does your watch glow brightly. Mine only glows super bright for a few minutes and then fades into a nice glow for several hours. Its that really bright initial glow that I love. Posted about this before, but just noticed your post and thought I would ask. I know that Rolex watches have never had a long lasting lume, but my other one with Luminova seems to stay its version of bright longer (though never as nice as the SD43).

Same experience here with lume.... very intense for a few minutes and then glows much dimmer for a long time.

Finally got my hands on one. Picked it up 2 weeks ago after a 7 month wait that felt like 7 years.

I don’t think Everest or RubberB has them available yet.

This watch has been pulling at my heart's string a bit lately. Been thinking about this, Hulk, or Tudor GMT to pair with my BLNR, Speedy Pro, and BBN ETA.
