Opinions on PM models.

Need some opinions guys. Im looking into adding a PM yellow gold into my collection.

I currently have this in my collection
- Explorer I (214270 mkii)
- TT Submariner (116613LB)

The Explorer I is my daily on weekdays and I wear my TT sub on my offdays /weekends etc.
I have owned the BLNR, but traded it to the TT blue submariner as I have always loved the blue dial, and I love the look of yellow gold. Im now looking to step up to a full gold experience and im torn between the choices.

Im looking to add one of these
- Submariner 116618LB or LN
- GMT II 116718LN (black/green dial)
- Day Date 228238 (stick/romans)

I love the submariner, but will it be to redundant to have two blue dials. The black the dial is nice, but I cant stop thinking of the blue. It looks so good against yellow gold.
GMT II is nice as it sits a bit lower on the wrist than the sub, and the added GMT function. Im not so fan of the big numbers on the bezel compared to the sub.
The DD40 is the Rolex, the bracelet is beautiful and classy.

I want the watch to go with any occasion. Im not wearing suits regularly, but there will be times.
Enough of my rambling. I will be visiting my nearest AD and try on these when I have the chance, but in the meantime I would like to hear your guys opinions.

The 116618LB is too similar to the 116613LB so best to flip the 13LB if your getting the full gold one.

The clear winner is the DD40.

If you are keeping your current watches I would go with the DD40 with the white dial and Roman Numerals. If you want the Submariner then the TT should be traded toward the 116618LB. I would keep what you have and add the DD.

Opinions on PM models.

Given your collection, and you’re keeping the Sub, I’d definitely go with the DD. A great addition, and can be dressed up or down

I voted DD, as that's the reference I think of first when I think Rolex PM.

When I think of professional Rolex references I think SS first.

Great shot! That dial is beautiful, makes the yellow gold pop, more than the chhampagne dial.

I'm not a huge fan of the full YG Professional models. Plus, the DD is just iconic and can only be had as PM. It's just more special to me.

I'll go against the grain here. If you had said WG DD, that would have been my choice. however, in YG, I'm going with my old favorite YG GMT/green. Nice pair with the bluesy.

Tough choices.... I love the DD40 but there's just something so special about the 116618LB. I cant stop staring whenever I see one. So I vote the 18LB. But as stated above, I'd trade the 13LB as those two would be a bit redundant.

I think I found myself a winner right here. Got to try this beauty yesterday and it felt so right. Im waiting to try the roman numerals champagne dial before I pull the trigger. Here’s a quick wristshot.
