Looks like the termite company got the employee to admit the theft of the Daytona.
He was in the house repairing termite damage.
He entered a room w/out instruction and opened a bureau where the Daytona was temporarily stored.
The employee had pawned it.
The watch will be returned to me.
I need to identify it!!
Are the serial numbers posted on the rehaut in the
M series Daytonas ??

That's just f***ing nasty that the repair person did that! One sec, are you asking us if your M serial has the engraved rehaut? I know the answer, however, your question is starting to make me a skeptic! Sorry Now this is getting very confusing!

Don't you have pictures of your timepiece? The warranty card?

They started with Z, and M is after Z in productions dates, so yes it is engraved. Let us know when you get it back. Are you going to prosecute?

Of course I have the card
I need to go pick up the watch
How do I identify it?.
With the numbers on the Renault!,
It enters my mind that ......
The pawn broker may have given the owner of the termite business
A faux Daytona

Hmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! The warranty card is the identication key to your timepiece... 77T answered your question, the rest is up to you to confirm. From your response this whole situation looks like its going to get very messy. The pawn broker would not have given the business the Daytona back without reimbursement... In any event I will keep quiet and monitor your thread until I see read the outcome. Good luck!

Rehaut has the serial number and taking off the bracelet on the 6 o'clock side may help as well.

A pawn broker gave a stolen Rolex to the employer of the person that stole it?

AND you're worried that the pawn broker may have kept the stolen Rolex, replacing it with a fake M serial Daytona which he gave to the thief's employer?

The serial can be seen on the case between the lugs. So it should match your card. Good luck.

Watch returned to me after the owner of the termite company retrieved it ($$$) from the pawnbroker.
The Daytona numbers on the rehaut match my document numbers.
The watch fits just as it was adjusted when it was stolen.
Took the Daytona to the local Rolex dealer and they verified its authenticity.
The employee has been sent to a rehab unit.
Seems he was in dire straits

My legal counsel during this episode indicated this was a most unusual and fortunate outcome.

Rehab Unit....Is that what they are calling jail now days? This guy steals a $10K watch and gets rehab? I'm very pleased that you were able to solve the crime and get your watch back, but I would file charges against the offender.

I'd give him rehab all right. Except my version of rehab might be different than the employers.

This fiasco began May 2, doesn't seem like a short time to me.
However "good on " the employer for the follow through.
Please note the date posted in the clock.
08.05 at 02 seconds and 72 degrees.

Such costly watches usually don't get left on tabletops and in plane sight. Opportunity makes the thief.

The outcome was lucky since it was a plane steel Rolex; a massive gold watch or
even much worse a tourbillon would long be history.

My Persian rug is much bigger that your watch, however I would not give the keys to somebody and leave the house.
