116234 oyster or jubilee bracelet?
Hi, I am thinking of getting a 116234 (steel Datejust with wg fluted bezel) with the blue roman dial. I can't decide which bracelet I like best with it though. Your thoughts and pictures would be great! Thanks.

Jubilee is more comfortable and scratches don't show up as much, But I love the oyster and that would be my choice.

I like the all brushed Oyster best. However, when it comes to Oyster + PCL, I'd choose the Jubilee.

I think the fluted bezel would match nicer on the Jubilee.
If you were going into a TOG or a domed bezel DJ, then the Oyster lends more sportiness to the look.

I prefer the fluted bezel DJ on a jubilee.....however, the DJ w/ the dome bezel looks good on oyster or jubilee.

IMHO I think the jubilee looks somewhat more suited for a DJ with the fluted bezel. It's dressier, shows less scratches, etc. I think think the oyster bracelet looks better on the DJII with a smooth bezel but that's about the only way I like the oyster on a DJ. If you've tried both I think you will agree a jubilee bracelet is much more comfortable.

I love the oyster bracelet on sports models, but prefer the jubilee on a DJ.

The Oyster fits the sports watches better, and the Jubilee suits the DJ's more.
Ditto with the Day Dates, they come out in either a President or an Oyster type bracelet, but the signature bracelet is the President. Signature for the DJ's is a Jubilee. |

My take is:
116234 + fluted bezel: Jubilee bracelet: "dressy" look 116234 + domed bezel: Oyster bracelet: "sporty" look

Jubilee on a Datejust always! Sub/GMT/Air King whatever on an Oyster bracelet but a fluted bezel and a Jubilee on a Datejust is classic.

Jubilee for me. If you want a less dressy look, get the oyster.

Definitely go with the Jubilee because it looks better (more classic and dressier) with the DJ and PCLs on the Oyster are a scratch magnet
Oyster is a great bracelet too and I have it on my EXP. The bracelet is brushed however so less scratches. Bought my wife a TT DJ last year and she insisted on an Oyster despite my arguments. She now admits I was right. |

It is personal preference. But I prefer Oyster. Jubilee is lighter than oyster. Best to try one with jubilee and oyster bracelent and then decide.

I have a 116200 (domed bezel) with an oyster bracelet and really like it a lot. I don't want the jubilee on another watch 'just to have something different'. I could do with seeing some pictures for comparisons between the two with the blue dial. I like the smart, casual look, but cannot decide if the jubilee is too dressy to be casual, if that makes sense.
