Gold Yacht-Master?

I noticed that Rolex's website only shows the YM in Rolesium and Rolesor but not in solid yellow gold but I know I've seen them before. Obviously we have the new Everose coming out with the Oysterflex but as far as yellow gold goes, does Rolex no longer make YG YMs?

The Rolex website is not the definitive answer as to what's available, unfortunately. You would probably need to go to an AD and have a look at the catalogue.

.

YG Yachtmaster was discontinued in 2011 , in all 3 dimensions (29mm/35mm/40mm).

One year later in 2012 , YM lady model 29mm was completely discontinued (SS and TT).

Since the YG 16628 YachtMaster 1 has been discon since 2011, does it now "qualify" as
vintage? Or maybe collectible?

Discontinued, but still beautiful, especially with the blue dial.

May I ask what the indices are? Are they precious stones of some sort?

Great looking watch and I think it might be a collectible long term given limited numbers.

The 16623 is probably the last 5-digit still standing, right?

They're refered to as Onyx - Looks like black enamel to me, and believe me I've looked. They really don't look at all like polished set stones but more an applied material, much like lume. The gold surrounds being identical to the lume plots on other models is suggestive of a similar process to apply the black ..stuff. Who knows though? It's very neatly done whatever it is.
Beautiful watch with the crispy white and unusual dark markers which really works with the light and dark tones the reflective polished gold surfaces conjure. The blue dial version looks a bit overpowered by the honking gold bezel to my eye.
