Tudor 2824 movement questions.....
I really like the Black Bay 36, but am torn between it and something like the Air King.
Since I wear my watch 24/7, I like the dial and hands on the BB-36, as they look to have significant glow; much better than the AK. I also like the history behind the AK, and the known quality of the Rolex movement. I have some questions which might clear things up a little for me. 1. As I understand it, the Tudor 2824 needs to be serviced more than the Air King Movement; basically I've read the Rolex movement will remain accurate much longer than the 2824. 2. I also understand that with the modifications Tudor makes to the 2824, that it's harder for local watchmakers to service and adjust it? 3. I thought I read somewhere that Tudor charges the same cost as Rolex does for service? If so, it makes more sense to get the AK from that point. 4. For you guys who have had Tudor's with the 2824 movement: How robust and reliable is the Tudor 2824? Any other insight will be appreciated. Thank you, m |
