Owning my share of 1675s by now, this one is nice and should be shared

As the title says, I own my shares of matte dial'ed 1675s/16750s by now....but this one is just killer in person. Another winner from my buddy/forum celebrity springer.....Very nice mk1 late 60's 1675:

Some pics from springer himself:

My first time having a mk1 1675, mine are all mk4 and later since I like the late 70's/early 80's matte variants. The bracelet with the oval crown really adds great character to the watch and the way the dial has patina'ed (slightly fading/browing) is something to behold as well. The insert cannot be done justice with pictures, red faded to a very unique/even orange that just has awesome written all over it with an almost teal'ish blue. It's watches like these that make vintage Rolex that much more interesting than modern watches IMO....just so unique.

Beautiful watch and a gorgeous, ever more elusive, oval link jubilee. Wear it in health and comfort. :)

Stunning! Late '60s with a small-arrow GMT hand. Must be one of the last ones before Rolex went to the big arrow! Congrats!

It is not unusual to find the early Mark I dials with the small 24-hour hand. Many of these hands have been replaced over time. I say early Mark I dials meaning the ones with the green glow lume and hands like found on this watch.

What is the serial? Not the whole thing just first few numbers. I have seen these small hands on a very specific range and I would love to confirm against my findings. Lovely piece.

Awesome. I'd like either a GMT Master or Sub from 1969, my birth year. Probably out of my budget...
Gorgeous insert, love the faded colors.

Thanks guys appreciate the kind words, quite a looker in real life.....thinking now if I need to put a fuschia insert on this bad boy (just picked up some nice ones)....but I must admit this insert is far more attractive than I initially thought. To answer some questions, yeah it's a 1.7 million serial and like springer said, I've seen other early mk1's having this small GMT hand on VRF. Part of what makes this interesting, a true transitional!

Personally I love the insert currently on the watch. I'm not really a fan of the fuschia inserts, and I certainly don't understand the massive premium some are paying for them now. The burnt orange fade on your insert just goes so perfectly with the watch it would be a shame to change it out.

Agreed 100% To each their own, but I like the faded blue and red while the fuschia is just not for me.
