6536 history

Could someone give me a little bit more history on the 6536, the amount that were made and the difference between that and the 6536/1. Also, can someone tell me what the average value would be today?

Thanks!!

Can't give too much history, I love the reference but continuity is tough with these, often there are replacement parts etc. As such, prices are very wide depending on the continuity. Parts for these are not cheap.

Make sure you do your homework and pay accordingly. Post pics etc...

6536 is a rare bird in all original conditions and with a correct deep red dial!!!

The last sold by Phillps 2016 auction....

One Example in all original configuration:

Correct dial-hands and insert bezel...and correct Case back ;)

Different Case....

6536/1
6536
6538

There are a few articles around if you use google. They do pop up, although the research says there were only 100 or so made. I am lucky enough to have found one, albeit with a service dial, but even that has aged nicely now so I’m v happy wearing it knowing how rare it is. And it was significantly less than the auction one ...
