Sub and GMT wear a bit small on my flat 6.5" wrist. SD43 is fine and I am waitlisted for SkyD. Each to their own. |

Still waiting for the Daytona ceramic white dial call..... waiting.... waiting.... Has ANYONE here who deals with Mayors ever received a ceramic Daytona white dial or SS SkyD blue?

I have been looking at this model.
I have a reasonably flat 6 3/4 inch wrist. The first is obviously the white dial while the second is a Bi-Metal What do you think? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

My wrist is 7.5" I don't think I would have gotten one if it were 6.5" as it would be too large IMHO.

I too have a 6.5 and here’s a pic, not the same overhang? That said it’s large and when I find myself questioning size, the watch normally grows on me (even larger than reality) and it’s time to flip. I moved my black dial. Naturally I’d take a blue just bc. Then sell that one a month later after making same mistake..... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I will have to admit the angle of the one I posted earlier was not very flattering and might have exaggerated the overhang.
I guess it goes to show, just going by wrist size to gauge fit is a mistake, others here have 6.5" wrists and it doesn't overhang like it did on mine. |

For the OP. I own an SD43 and have had the SkyD in all dial colours on my wrist at the same time. The white dial wears the largest of all three Sky D dials. But. The Sky D is not “huge”. On my wrist it wore (and looked) slightly smaller than the SD43 does. When I strap on a Sky D I feel like I’m ever so slightly downsizing. In fact, it wears no bigger on me than the DJII does. Just slightly thicker. Lug to lug the Sky D and the SD43 are the same at 50mm.

That’s beautiful!! Even though the hype is for the Blue but I prefer the white much more!! It’s much more elegant and cleaner!!

Larger watches are coming back and I see that it’s perfectly fine and good size for a 6.5” wrist

I flipped black from the syndrome I described. Since the blue is the hot one, I wouldn’t deny adding it. I’d do this silly move knowing ahead of time it’s still too large so I’d wind up selling that one too.....you know, a WIS move you just can’t help but do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

For me personally, I can tolerate big on a sporty dive watch like the SD43. The fluted bezel and PCLs of the SkyD make it more a dress watch in my books, so it's not for me as much as I want it to be.

SD in SS
I have a 7.25 inch wrist and the Daytona is too small but the SD is perfect.
I was lucky to get a blue dial SS. I think that it is the next Daytona which would be great considering the small size of the Daytona. Wish that the Daytona was 42 mm. |

I like larger watches as I have a large wrist. Comfortable with the Sky Dweller, a 44mm Big Bang, also Panerai Luninor.

I've got a 6.5 wrist and I'm very comfortable with the SkyD Blue. I ordered mine three days following its intro in March and received it mid August. So about five month wait. Here's a photo showing the fit. Even this photo makes it appear larger and more cumbersome than it really feels on the wrist.

I got a tiny 6.3 wrist, but pretty flat, so not a big issue for me. This is an amazing piece, I actually wore it more than my RO and Blnr

Tried on the WG version with white dial. No lug overhang but felt pretty thick. I think I’m going to pass on this watch. It would be perfect for me if it was thinner. Thanks again everyone for the help.

One AD that I talk with often just told me they have received 1 blue and 2 white SkyD since last Basel. They seem to move a fair amount of product (when available). In the grand scheme I would say these guys are a very mid-tier AD. If that gives you any gauge on timeline.
Oh yeah, this guy also admitted point blank they have no real idea of when they will get anything. I have a paid in full order on a white Daytona and his answer of when was basically I'll call you when I call you, peace out. In a nice way. |

White Dial S/S Sky-Dweller
I have a chance to buy a White Dial Sky-Dweller (pre owned). My first choice was Blue Dial. Does anyone who bought a White Dial regret their color choice, and wish they'd waited for Blue?
