Rolex Datejust jubilee bracelet

I have just purchased my 1st ever Rolex a 1986 Datejust from goldsmith when I have picked it up the bracelet is very loose on it the adviser said it's because it's 30 years old but I was wondering how much it would cost for a new bracelet from Rolex or for it it be serviced by Rolex because I have heard they fix the strap up like new, if they are to pricy then I can just take the watch back and look again,
thanks
I have uploaded a picture from the net it’s not my watch but it’s just like the way the bracelet is hanging, i say mine is more hanging tbh, it won’t let me put my own pictures up sorry

Suggest you call Rolex Service Centre, St James, London.
They will likely be able to give you prices over the phone enough for you to make a decision.

Do the search here on bracelets repair and Michael Young who is an independent service guy. Many pictures comparing stretch with bracelets after repair.

FYI - new from RSC is approximately $1200 for the current 6 digit models...

Not sure if they increased the prices recenty, but a Super - Jubilee (solid link) is approx $1200.00 CDN and Two Tone is over $2000.00 CDN.

Michael Young is a master at restoring bracelets, HOWEVER he works on his own schedule. (Understandable he's one of the only people that does this kind of work.)

Good Luck

Most people will say the same thing. Michael Young, seems to produce great results.

I would tend to agree with the sales assistant that this is to be expected on a 30 year old watch. Unless of course you paid top end for a watch in great condition.
